LAKE HOUSE!

Our dear friends, Fletcher & Terri Kirby own a house on the lake in Valdosta, GA and as a continuation of my incredible birthday week, Terri invited me to spend three days there with her.  Fletcher & Steven flew to Montreal, Canada to check on a mission opportunity for Gateway and she & I spent those days just being girlfriends!  Wonderful relaxing moments enjoying the beauty of HIS creation and the gift of friendship.  A little shopping, eating at new restaurants and sitting lakeside each evening topped off a perfect day!  Plus every morning my coffee and devotion was heaven-like!!  Their condo is beautiful and our time there together was too!   Thank you, Terri for loving me so well!

SO BLESSED!!

My 65th birthday was a full week of celebration and I was so loved by so many!  My sweet family spoiled me with cards, gift cards and many gifts and a fun dinner at a Japanese Steak House.  Then our incredible Gateway family surprised me with two parties!  They secretively collected a love gift to the Gideon's in my honor to purchase 125 Bibles.  What an honor to think that The Word will be placed in 125 places for GOD to use for HIS glory!  I was overwhelmed with their love and generosity.  So, so blessed!  All of the events of this week made turning 65 years old a delight!

New News

I spent all day yesterday with Jillie at the Honda dealership as she brilliantly persuaded the salesman to meet ALL of her wishes and then-some!   She was a "rock star"!   The results was a 2017 Honda Odessey with more bells and whistles than a car should have!!  You go girl!!  We enjoyed our time together...making more memories!! And I was the first to ride in it!!!

Almost forgot, we were able to watch Grace at her tennis practice last week.  Serena & Venus Williams better watch-out!   :-)

EASTER HAPPENINGS

Our Easter week was a blessing in so many ways.  First, we saw the movie, "The Case For Christ", the true story of Lee Strobel (an atheist) and his conversion to Christianity, with our great friends, Terri & Fletcher.  I highly recommend it!!

Then we participated in a spiritual moving Good Friday service as we remembered His ultimate sacrifice for us, His children.  That was followed up on Saturday by a fun Easter Egg Hunt complete with games and LOTS of candy and of course, the story of His resurrection.  Then Easter Sunday morning we "arose" early for our SONrise service where we rejoiced with 70 of our members as we watched the sun come up (6:40AM) and sang praises to the God who saves us!!!  At 10:30 AM we welcomed 400 plus people to our celebration of praise for our "One True God" and that was made extra special by Adam, Jill, Liz, Cael, Gabe and Grace who drove in from Jax to be with us!  We enjoyed a buffet lunch afterwards and departed filled with hearts of thankfulness and full bellies!!  Awesome week as we remembered, celebrated and gave thanks for our many blessings...too many to count!!!
