MEMORIAL DAY

PRAYING FOR & HONORING ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED/ARE SERVING

This small flag has been a part of our home since 2004.  When our middle son, Brandon was deployed to Iraq, I wanted a visual nearby my daily devotion corner, to keep him constant in our minds/hearts.  This, along with a small light in our window, brought minute by minute reminders that our hearts were also deployed with him.  We were often torn and our prayers were fervent for his safety.  It has many times been an acknowledgement of the sacrifices so many have made and continue to make for this great country we call home.  Through 2 deployments for Brandon and 3 deployments for Steven, it has carried the yellow ribbon on top as a reminder that my men came home whole.  I am eternally grateful to God for that.  I know so many others do not have the same testimony...for them we stop and pray asking God's love and comfort for their families left behind.   THANK YOU...

                                        GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Requesting Prayers

Please join us in prayer for our dear friends in NC, Jackie & Anne Brinkley as they continue in their fight of Jackie's diagnosis of Ewing's Sarcoma.  His most recent battle is the side effects from the chemo are now causing damage to his heart and kidneys.  We covet your prayers for them.

"Children Are A Gift Of The Lord"

Exciting news in the Thompson Family!

Adam and Jill are currently in Ghana getting to know their new son & daughter!  The adoption was approved and in just a few weeks they will be able to return to Ghana with Liz & Cael and bring them home!  Once released to do so I will share names and pictures of our newest grandchildren!  But for now just wanted to share our JOY!

GOD IS SO GOOD to us!

Spring!

Can't tell all how excited I am that the white stuff and frigid temps have left us and spring is in sight!  The buds are beautiful and we are enjoying the beginning of a new, New England season!  We have packed away the heavy winter clothes/boots..ready for some sunshine!

YIKES!   Snake to the right of yellow hose.

VACATION!

We packed a lot into just a few days...but it was all great!  We are so blessed!
First stop was at Mama & Daddy's to spend my birthday with them!  Had a great Bar B Q dinner at Jake's and enjoyed spending time with the two I owe everything to.  Thankful for my Christian parents!  Thanks Mama & Daddy!

Then on to Marietta, quality time with Adam, Jill Liz and Cael, just living life with them.  And a real bonus was being there to witness Cael's Baptism!!!   What a Joy!   Spent time with Jill & Liz helping IOH with a 5/15K Race  (www.inheritanceofhope.org).  Had lunch at school with Liz & Cael and Papa got to share some magic with both classes!  Adam & Jill will soon be heading off to Ghana in preparation of adopting our next two grandchildren!  Pray for that process.

Then we off to Jax!  Wonderful reunion with our Jax families.  Time spent with B&B is always a treat.  Ellen & Erica surprised me with a belated birthday celebration, so thoughtful!  Then Clayton & Erica treated me to LongHorn (my fav)!!  We played and made some great memories, which will help sustain the coming months away from them all.

And icing on our cake was an evening spent with some of our precious Kachins!  What a great couple of weeks!  So thankful!
