MORNING & NIGHT

This great verse hangs in our bedroom and is the first Word I see every morning and the last Word I see every night.  It is a handmade gift from my friend, Lori, and it is an ever constant reminder of the incredible, everlasting love from my God & Savior.

HAPPY 20TH!!

This Anniversary card came in the mail this week.  20 years as an "Avon Lady".  Hard to believe it has been 20 years.  Avon was a household name while I was growing up.  Mama used their products, for as long as I can remember.   It was a special treat every two weeks to wait and watch for her Avon lady come to the house with her little books that were filled with page after page of stuff that us girls love!  And she always had a handful of samples to leave with us to try until the next order rolled around.   Samples of lipstick, perfumes, bath gels, eye make-up, etc...  The stuff that little girls love to play with pretending they are big girls!  Remembering those visits brings back good memories.

I followed suit after I became the lady of the house and would always find an Avon lady in every town we moved to...until 20 years ago when one day, Steven said, "You are such a good Avon customer...why don't you just sell it yourself?"  Seemed like a great idea...and it was.  It has been a great 20 years.  I am not actively selling at this point.  But I continue to order for myself and family.  The products are wonderful and the prices are great.  The company has been around for over 100 years...so obviously they are doing something right!

A LITTLE R & R :-)

We are in between our ministry positions...Steven is sending out resumes and we are praying and waiting for God's leading on our next place of service.  We are enjoying spending time with our family and making great memories with our precious grandchildren.

We are also enjoying our little piece of paradise here in Ft McCoy!  Our RV park is located on the Oklawaha Lake near the Rodman Reservoir and it is a beautiful, peaceful setting.  The sunrises are beautiful coming up over Lake Oklawaha that we can watch right here from our living room and the sunsets are incredible...also very visible from our humble home!  There are a few campers out here this weekend (the park is usually pretty desolate) and it has been fun hearing the children play on their bikes, scooters and skateboards.  There are several families who brought their 4-wheelers and they have enjoyed the trails surrounding the park.  The pool was busy today and we were able to meet a very nice family who camp here often.  We have found, in the past seven years that we have become campers, that most of the people who camp are super nice people and it is fun to be a part of this sort of community.

We are thankful for the provisions that our God allows us as we seek to be used by Him!

"OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES"

Below is an adorable message that Erica posted, and a great pic that Corie posted.  Both melted this Granny's heart!
