Thanks Corie!

Way back in August, while we were visiting in Jax, Corie took these amazing pictures of us and I never posted them.  :-(   Better late than never...thank you Corie for your time, patience and incredible expertise all devoted this day to our family!

PACKING IT ALL AWAY!

Well, today was the day to take down all of the Christmas decorations.  It has been snowing here since last night and is currently 14 degrees...so it is a great day to stay in, stay warm and get motivated to get it done!   It is definitely more fun to unpack, unwrap, and re-discover all the Christmas "fun" that I had forgotten about...than it is to re-pack it and try to fit it back into the same boxes it came out of!   :-)

It is also rather ironic how different the house looks with all of the festive trappings gone.  Now don't misunderstand me, I love my everyday primitive country housewares, but there is something about adding the Christmas touches that brings an extra measure of happiness to each room.  So, it will take a day or so to get use to not seeing those cute little snowmen peeking around every corner, or the remembrance of HIS birth in the manger scene now missing from our end table.

But the most wonderful fact is that just because I pack away Christmas, doesn't mean the JOY of the season has to be put away.  HE remains here.  HE is present with me daily and even though the celebration of HIS birth has passed, HE will guide me through everything that 2014 has in store for me!  So, I look forward, with great anticipation, of another year to minister in HIS name and share HIS message with those HE brings in my life!

                                    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
