32 WEEKS...AND COUNTING!

Thanks to all who have called or emailed asking how Erica and the girls are doing?  And what is the latest on us?  We so appreciate the prayers of so many from Florida to Massachusetts, to Virginia, to DC, to Georgia, to Kentucky, to North Carolina! We are so blessed to have so many people who care and who lift up prayers for our family on a daily basis!   So richly blessed!!

Erica has passed 32 weeks and we are thankful that Arianna & Alayna are still safely tucked inside, growing!   But Erica has, once again, been admitted back to St Vincent's Hospital.  It seems that lil Alayna (smaller twin) has had a couple of episodes of her heart rate dropping to 70 then shooting back up to 200.  These episodes need to be monitored closely, so Erica's bedrest has moved from the living room couch to the maternity unit!   As of today (last U/S)  Arianna is approx 4 lbs 13ozs and measuring 34 weeks gestation and Alayna is 4 lbs 3 ozs. and measuring only 30/31 gestation.  We are thankful for each day that passes as we head toward the next weekly goal!  Erica stays very tired, but has been a trooper through it all, knowing the final outcome is worth every single minute of this journey!

Clayton is putting many miles on his car sharing his time between his divided family, back and forth from home to hospital.  The boys are doing well, although they miss Mom and realize that things are a little different.  I have moved in to try to keep their daily routine as close to their normal as possible.  Steven is also putting miles on our car as he visits weekly and also is doing double duty at our home by living as a bachelor, tending to my cats and carrying the ministry load at our church that we usually share.  He has often "loaned" me to our three sons whenever they needed me...and does so with a very giving and happy heart!

Here are a few pics of the past couple of weeks in our lives:

Steven had the honor to marry Tina & John McCleary.  Not only was Tina a beautiful bride, but our Miranda was gorgeous!

A LITTLE SCARE

Our little Arianna & Alayna gave us a scare this week.   Erica started having multiple contractions and then her B/P dropped and pulse shot up and she almost passed out.  She was admitted to St Vincent's Hospital and for the past three days we have spent many moments in prayer that those girls would not come at only 30 weeks!  The staff at the hospital has been phenomenal...even including Braddock & Beckham in their care for Erica.  They are so family centered.  We are thankful that with great care and good meds, the contractions have slowed and her vital signs are once again within normal range.  We are praying that soon she will be able to return home and that Arianna & Alayna will stay put within Mama for a few more weeks!

Papa & I are holding down the fort with Erica in the hospital and Clayton at Drill this weekend.  They love Papa's iPad, it is always a request when we come for a visit.  Schedules are a little off...so sweet Bubba naps whenever and wherever he feels the urge.  :-)
