HE Is Risen, HE is Risen, Indeed!

What a glorious Easter week we had at the Church in the Acres, celebrating the remembrance of our risen King!  We enjoyed fellowship at our Maundy Thursday service, Good Friday..."It's Friday, but Sunday is coming"!!!, the March for Jesus...all a precursor to three incredible worship services on Easter morning!   Our Sonrise service was held outside (in the bitter cold) as we watched the sun break the horizon and two plane's exhaust formed the shape of a cross in the sky.  Pretty awesome display for all of us as we watched it form!

Then a packed house at our C1 service was a reminder that there are so many people in our sphere of influence who settle for and are satisfied only with the minimum Christ has to offer.  So many that may be saved and going to heaven...but are missing the abundant life here and now.  A great service with a powerful message from our Pastor, who was used by The Holy Spirit, and preached his heart out!  We enjoyed good breakfast snacks in between our last service for the day as our C2 folks gathered early and blessed us with great music and left us so thankful for the sacrifice HE gave for us all.

Then Steven and I packed the car and drove to West Point to spend a couple of days with Brandon, April, Taylor, Addyson & Kynley!   What a spectacular way to finish out our Easter week!  We are thankful that this move north has provided us some quality time with our middle son and his sweet family.  Our granddaughters are amazing and we are blessed by them with every visit.  We are praying for them, as they will be transferred in June to DC, where Brandon will begin his new assignment at the Pentagon.  So a big move, will bring a new job, new home, new neighborhood, new friends, new school, new church...etc...  Many new challenges and many new blessings in store for them.  So thankful they have HOPE in HIM.

"Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.  He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said He would. Come see the place where He was lying."                                                    Matthew 28:5-6
