Battle Of The New England Birds

Well, we have survived the winter of New England, but spring has brought us a new challenge!   It seems the birds here absolutely LOVE the awnings of our RV and are very insistent on building their nests there.  Besides the concern that we do not want them laying their eggs there, we also do not want the bird waste (poop) all down the side of our coach, nor do we want them tearing the canvas of the awnings.  Two things are a bit strange about this:
we have a yard full of big trees which can accommodate many nests and there are four birdhouses in the back yard...
plus, we never had this issue at our lot in the Ocala Forrest!!   Kinda' strange.

Anyway, every morning and evening Steven faithfully climbs the ladder and removes all of the twigs and brush from the eight corners of the awnings...only to watch the birds return with more in their beaks as soon as the ladder is out of sight!

The persistence and insistence of both Steven and the birds makes for an amusing battle!  Only time will prove who will tire first!   :-D
