Re-Connecting With Old Friends

Our fun filled week in Seattle was made extra special by reconnecting with The Lemmons!  Mike, Holly, Mikey and Samantha were once members at Crown Point, until the Navy moved them away from Jax.  Imagine our delight to discover that they were now in Bremerton, which is just 40 minutes from Seattle!  They not only invited us to dinner, but then asked us to cancel our hotel and stay with them for the remainder of the week!  We enjoyed their warm hospitality in their beautiful home on the water, ate fresh seafood, attended their local town fair, worshipped with them on Sunday and felt like we were family reunited.  Such a great time!  We are so thankful that God has richly blessed our time on this side of glory with such special people!

Enjoyed my coffee on their deck!

What a view to wake up to!

Please keep them in your prayers, as Mike has now left for an 8 month deployment to the Middle East and will miss the birth of their third child in February.  :-(
Thanks, Mike, for your service to our country!

Taking It All In!

As we traveled the roads of Seattle we were so impressed with the incredible Evergreen trees that are abundant there.  We have never seen such regal trees.  They seem to reach the sky and are never-ending.  The scenery is beautiful, majestic mountains, with snow caps, massive forests, incredible colors in the skies.   One of the most unusual sights we saw was in the yard of a couple of artists who mold and sculpt with iron and wood and then display them in their yard for the public to enjoy.

SEATTLE!!

On Monday we rented a car and went into downtown Seattle to check out a few sights. Thanks, Dan, for the tip about Pike's Place Market!  Amazing!

Steven even got to watch the Mariners vs Yankees game!  They just "happened" to be playing this week!  God is so good!

Isn't That Just Like God?

Our room at the Evergreen Inn was so nice, living room and bedroom, with all the perks.  A nice continental breakfast started our morning off perfectly and as we ate we noticed that we were surrounded by a roomful of pilots!  Their uniforms indicated they were part of The Thunderbirds (the Air Force top gun pilots) and The Golden Knights (Army's elite parachute-sky diving team)!!   They were also staying at our hotel, because today and tomorrow was the big annual air show!  And...it was directly across the street!  So, after we filled our stomachs, we walked across the street and spent the morning watching breath-taking stunts from the military's best!  The fact that we "happened" to arrive here on the very same weekend...is just like God to spoil us.  A super day!
