Steve and Glo's Adventures

It seems I am not very good at keeping up this blog! Hopefully, once we are on the road and seeing many of God's creations, I will be more motivated to update often! We are getting closer and closer to that moment, as Steven has announced his leaving Crown Point this June and then will also retire from the Guard next June.

He has been tasked to deploy this June to Kyrgyzstan for 6 months, he will be stationed at Manas Training Center, where he will be lead Chaplain to the troops there. When he returns next January, we will move into our Class A Monaco RV and begin our new life as "full timers"! We are hoping to get involved with "Campers On Mission" and minister as we travel!

Our sons, daughter-in-laws and fabulous grandchildren are all doing great and we are so blessed by them! Adam, Jill, Liz & Cael are currently living in Atlanta. Brandon, April & Taylor are living at West Point. And Clayton, Erica & Braddock (Beckham due in July) are living here in Jax. Each one brings us so much JOY!

August 2010

So much has happened, and yet I have been so lax in writing any of it. Shame on me! Time to catch-up!

Adam, Jill, Elizabeth & Cael moved to Atlanta, where he began a new position with WellStar Health System. He loves his job and they have settled in quickly to their new home, new friends and new church. Jill is already busy and has become a very intricate part of Inheritance of Hope. http://inheritanceofhope.org/ Elizabeth is now 8yrs and Cael is 6 yrs.

Brandon, April and Taylor also moved... to West Point, NY, where he will be teaching at The Academy for the nest 3 years. He is now a major in the Army. They are going to open their home to many cadets, who are away from home and need some touches of home. April is renewing old friends and making new and keeping up very well with Taylor, who is more energetic than three little girls put together! Taylor is now 6 yrs old.

Clayton, Erica and Braddock! Yes, we have a new grandson, born Feb 5th. Braddock Edward. Clayton is now a policeman with our very own JSO and loves his job! He also joined the Fl Air National Guard with his Dad. Erica is now a stay at home Mom and loves her job, too! Braddock is 6 mos old.

Steven continues to run non-stop juggling the church and the chaplaincy. He works very hard at both callings and is a blessing to so many through his ministries. His sacrifices of time and energy are a gift to me, as I am now free to not have to punch a time clock. I seem to manage to stay busy between the duties at church and being Granny! The later one is my very favorite !!

We are looking forward to retirement in a couple of years and then living in our RV full time as we travel and minister as God leads through His beautiful creation. Lots of hopes and dreams ahead of us!

Merry Christmas!

In just 4 days we will celebrate the birth of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. What a wonderful time of year for all of us who know Him. We are so blessed by our incredible family and so thankful for each of them.

This Christmas, however, will be bitter sweet as Steven & I will be apart as he serves our great country at Camp Navarro, Philippines. For the past 4 months he has prayed with/for, counseled, guided, taught, listened to, preached to, been a friend to, our service men & women stationed there. As much as I have missed him, I am thankful that I am married to a man who cares so much about his calling and his country. He will be home mid-January.
