WHAT HAPPENED???

I have to apologize for this huge gap in my picture blog.  I am not sure what has happened but many of my pictures are no longer on my computer.  It is a mystery and also very frustrating!   So, that is my first excuse.   My second excuse is that we have been extremely busy and I have just not had the time to sit and blog.  And my third excuse is that I have just lost interest in doing the blog altogether! So, I am going to try to remedy a few of these excuses very soon and get back to sharing some of my favorite moments in life on this blog.   I just wanted to take a few minutes to let a few of you know,  who have asked me what happened???   Thanks for checking on me and I promise to get with it soon!!

A super week of lots of kids and tons of fun!!  So exciting helping little ones discover just how much Jesus loves them...and four of our youth gave their hearts to HIM!!!

PRAYER ROOM

Our new Prayer Room is finished and was dedicated!!   So thankful to all who helped to make this wish come true!  We now have a designated place where all can go for "quiet" prayer and reflection!  Room painted and decorated by Terri Kirby, Marie Smith, myself, Ann Wheeler, Tommy Smith, Cheryl Kent, Jeff Neihaus, & Walter Nicodam.  Many have prayed for Gateway to have a dedicated room for prayer...awesome to see answers to prayers!!!

MOTHER'S DAY

So thankful for my Mama, a godly woman, who raised the four of us in a Christian home and taught us about Jesus from the time we entered the world.  She did so mainly by her example.  Thank you Mama for setting the bar so high for my example of what a Mom should be!  Love you so much!

I was pampered to a steak dinner by my sweet husband, breakfast by Adam & Jillie, calls from Brandon & crew and Clayton & crew.  A beautiful note from Tina & Miranda. One also from Nunu and Lana.  And my sweet sister.  Plus many well wishes via texts and emails.  A most generous gift from my Secret Sister at Gateway along with a beautiful vase of flowers.  Another occasion of feeling very humbled and blessed.  Thanking HIM for it all!

Especially thankful for my three daughters-in-love, who are the most perfect mates for our sons and terrific Moms to our grandchildren.  They are incredible women who are raising absolutely wonderful  little people and training them up in the way of our Lord!.

Jillie invited us to visit, have dinner and attend Grace's tennis practice and Cael's basketball game.  Bob & Sheila met us there.  A fun evening!

LAKE HOUSE!

Our dear friends, Fletcher & Terri Kirby own a house on the lake in Valdosta, GA and as a continuation of my incredible birthday week, Terri invited me to spend three days there with her.  Fletcher & Steven flew to Montreal, Canada to check on a mission opportunity for Gateway and she & I spent those days just being girlfriends!  Wonderful relaxing moments enjoying the beauty of HIS creation and the gift of friendship.  A little shopping, eating at new restaurants and sitting lakeside each evening topped off a perfect day!  Plus every morning my coffee and devotion was heaven-like!!  Their condo is beautiful and our time there together was too!   Thank you, Terri for loving me so well!
